An 8-week virtual group for parents of teen athletes, designed to provide support, education, and practical tools for navigating the challenges of raising an athlete.
Thursday afternoons from
October 16th - December 11th
from 12:00 - 1:00 PM
Facilitated by Megan Cannon, M.Ed, LPCA
Megan specializes in working with athletes, drawing on her experience as a former school counselor, coach, and college soccer player. She’s a passionate educator of mental wellness, a lifelong lover of sports, and a youth sports parent herself.
We know how hard it is to be a sports parent.
Between practices, tournaments, and keeping up with school and family life, you carry a lot. On top of that, it can feel confusing and overwhelming to understand what’s really going on in your child’s mind. Athletes don’t always open up about their feelings, and it can be hard to tell if what you’re seeing is “normal stress” or something deeper.
This virtual group is designed to give you clarity and practical tools to support your child’s confidence, resilience, and overall well-being in sports and in life. They are so much more than an athlete!
Together we’ll explore topics like athlete identity, pressure and performance stress, navigating setbacks and injuries, and building healthy communication. All from the comfort of your home or office.
You’ll leave with strategies you can use right away to better understand your athlete’s mental health and to support them—while also finding more balance for yourself as a parent. Join us, as we tackle one of the hardest jobs in the world...parenting.
