What is Brainspotting?

"Where you look affects how you feel." Brainspotting is an relational brain-body-mindfulness-based therapeutic approach, which focuses processing in the parts of the brain where memory and emotion are stored and the parts of the brain involved with regulation.

Brainspotting is a highly effective therapeutic technique designed to help process trauma, negative beliefs, challenging emotions, and distressing experiences by focusing on a specific spot in your visual field that facilitates deeper processing. Described as a "physiological approach with psychological consequences," it taps into the brain’s self-healing abilities by bypassing the thinking neocortex. This process promotes the organization and integration of previously disconnected information. With focus and precision we can find through the eye positions, the brainspots, where you are holding the trauma, the anxiety, the depression, the relational problems allowing the brain to process the problems, from the inside-out, from the bottom up.
